Used containers are cargo containers that have been retired from the shipping industry. They are usually retired because they have too much wear and tear to be safely stacked up to 9 high on a container ship with 270 tons on top of them.
They may not work for the shipping company but they are perfect for your on-site storage!
The quality and appearance of used containers vary quite a bit with “container grades”. We highly recommend that you come and pick out your storage unit from of our branch locations.
We can also make your container like new with a paint job!
Used Containers are Sold By Grade and Size
Grade B
- Wind and water tight
- Good floors, doors and door seals
- Typically 5 to 10 years old
- Some dents and some light surface rust
Standard Sizes
- 8′ wide by 8′ 6″ tall by 20′, 40′ and 45′ lengths
- 8′ wide by 9′ 6″ tall by 20′ and 40′ lengths
Grade C- Least Expensive
- Wind and water tight
- Good floors, doors and door seals
- Typically 10 to 15 years old
- More dents and visible rust

- Lengths- 10′, 15′ and 25′
- Doors on both ends
- Painted any color and many modifications available
